About
# or Hash Marks The Spot was created by your average fan of social media’s newest juggernaut, Twitter. As a heavy user of Twitter, I began to notice the # (hash) symbol before certain topic buzz words and acronyms. At first, most # (hash)s seemed pretty self explanatory but as we all know, the internet is all about making communication easier and faster. As I began to see more acronyms and abbreviated buzz words, I felt there was a need for a directory of # (hash)s for the average Twitter user that may be trying to keep up with trending topics and # (hash) conversations. #ATOC, #SGP, I had no idea what some of these meant. Now, with the help of the very people that make Twitter happen (users or Tweeters), I hope to provide all Tweeters with a valuable resource.
I encourage you to help by providing any details on the various # posts out there, and provide any feedback or ideas how I might be able to improve this site. Thanks!
#MTS is not affiliated with Twitter in any way, shape, or form other than having provided the inspiration for this site.

New #upswing hash tag created by @sallyhogshead this morning as “a place on Twitter that collects smart, positive tips and ideas” – from @clydeboom
What is the #ug5 hash tag for?
hehe…
Biggest buzz of my day seeing my little bot @twendly mashed up on the side here. E-mail me if you’d like to talk, I’ve got some ideas you might be interested in; ironically one of which is very similar to this site, although some small differences. This kind of intelligent information rocks…
Cheers,
